How much storage does my phone need to download offline maps?

With FATMAP Explore, you get the benefits of offline use as you download FATMAP maps straight to your device.  

The maps can be quite large in file size and some devices might be near capacity when the download starts. 

When you select an area of the map to download, it will show you on the bottom of the screen how much space it will take up on your device and how much space you have available:

Luckily there are many ways of clearing out space whilst preserving your photos, podcasts and other media.

Using our new streaming function will allow you access to the same maps without using nearly as much storage, just be careful as streaming will only work when you have access to a cellular network while skiing.
