Welcome to the new FATMAP app!
The latest version of the app now has a completely redesigned layout with four tabs.
The first tab you will see when you open up the app is our all-new Home tab. Home is organised vertically into different sections of content and you can scroll right within each section to see more.
Recently viewed - Your most recently viewed routes, in chronological order, the first being the most recently viewed.
Your Adventures - Your own routes that you have added to your account, in chronological order, the first being the most recently added to your account.
Activities near you - Routes near you, based on your preferred activities.
Guidebooks for your area - Collections of routes near you based on your current location.
Adventure inspiration - The best news and stories from pro-athletes, guides and our partners.
Routes near you - Routes near you based on your current location.
News from FATMAP - The best news and stories from FATMAP.
You can tap on any of the content in the Home tab to reveal more.
On the top of each piece of content is the author of that content. You can tap on their name or logo to visit their profile.
Now with its own dedicated tab, you can search for destinations, adventures, peaks and Guidebooks and filter by activity, difficulty and FATMAP Select content. Once you have started typing you will see a list of search matches start to appear.
Tap on a destination to load up a map preview of the location and select the tabs for Routes and Guidebooks to show a list underneath. Tap the expand button on the bottom right corner of the map preview to open up the full map of the area. From here you can also download maps offline (available to Explore members).
Tap the Activities button at the top to filter by your preferred activities and tap the Filter button to filter this by FATMAP Select content and difficulty.
Underneath the search bar you will also see a list of your downloaded offline maps.
Our global 3D map and terrain tools are in the third tab, with new shortcuts to download offline maps and track your routes (in FATTRACK or Strava).
All the terrain layers, imagery, live data and custom tools are accessible in the menu on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
Tap the Activity button on the top of the screen to select which activity you would like to view and then the filters button to filter this by FATMAP Select content and difficulty.
A highly requested feature - a Profiles tab! Here you will find all your own profile information, including your Offline Maps, your saved Guidebooks and Adventures, Waypoints and account details.
In the profile you can also connect or disconnect your Strava account.
